bodyy® Academy Terms and Conditions
By undertaking any of our qualification courses or workshops, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
- All applications must be made via our website at www.bodyy.co.uk.
- By applying for any course you are declaring that you are fit and well to participate in it – including any of the associated practical elements. If you are concerned about a health condition or disability please consult a medical professional before enrolling. You must consult with us first before booking if you require us to make any special arrangements or considerations.
- For all courses, your place will be secured once your deposit has been paid, subject to the course running.
- All courses must be paid for in full before commencing the course – final payments can be made at or before registration on the first day. Alternatively, at our discretion, we may agree for you to pay the balance of your course in instalments. This does not remove the liability for you to pay your full course fees. If you do not adhere to your agreed payment schedule, you may be removed from the course and still be liable to pay full course fees.
- Deposits to secure future course dates are non-refundable.
- We understand that occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, applicants may have to alter their arrangements. In these cases, bodyy® will make every effort to accommodate this. We will require that a letter of cancellation, together with an alternative booking (via the website), is given at least 28 days before the start date of the original course. In such circumstances any fees paid will be transferred to the alternative course. In the case of cancellations not accompanied by an alternative booking, a refund of fees paid, less a 20% administration charge, will only be made if the cancellation is received no later than 28 days before the start of the course; this does not include the deposit, which forms a non-refundable element of your fees. Unfortunately, where 28 days’ notice is not given, we cannot refund fees and full course fees will remain due – including for those on instalment plans.
- Charges for all course material delivered within the UK are included within the course price. However, if you are unavailable to receive your delivery of course materials, any additional charges will be passed on to you..
- There may be, on occasion, the necessity to change or cancel course dates, course content, the venue and/or fees. In these cases, bodyy® will not be held liable for any costs or losses incurred as a result and refunds will not be offered unless the changes are unavoidably significant. In the event of a course cancellation, bodyy® will endeavour to offer you an alternative course and transfer all fees. Should this not be convenient to the learner, or if there is no alternative available, a full refund will be issued, minus an administration fee to cover any incurred costs. These may include, but not be limited to, card payment processing fees, awarding body registration fees, course materials issued and postage.
- bodyy® reserves the right to remove any students from any course, who fail to comply with its standard practices, procedures and the Student Code of Conduct. We also reserve the right to refuse enrolments, or suggest alternative arrangements, if we believe it will not be in the best interest of the company, other participants or the individual concerned to attend a course.
- Applications for all courses which require a prerequisite qualification must be accompanied by proof of the required qualification at enrolment. If you are unsure whether you meet the pre requirements for a course please ensure that you consult with us before booking.
- If your course includes access to buildings managed by a third party, learners are bound to adhere to the separate terms and conditions specific for those facilities.
- Re-assessment fees are charged at £25 per theory paper and £50 per practical observation. Referred or missed assessments are chargeable, although we do our utmost to avoid these where possible.
- It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to your personal details. Any costs incurred due to out of date personal details will be passed onto you.
- These terms and conditions shall apply to any further courses undertaken with bodyy® unless otherwise agreed.
- These terms and conditions may be subject to change without notice at our discretion.
- In the case of a course being cancelled or rescheduled, prior to attendance days commencing, due to nationally or regionally imposed restrictions or lockdowns due to coronavirus: If the new course dates are not convenient for a learner, they may choose to transfer to an alternative course or receive a full refund.
- In the case of a course being cancelled or rescheduled, once attendance days have commenced, due to nationally or regionally imposed restrictions or lockdowns due to coronavirus: If the new course dates are not convenient for a learner, the following options will be offered:
- Withdrawal – receive a refund proportional to the unattended attendance days remaining. E.g. If you have attended 6 days out of 10, a 40% refund will be offered.
- Postponement – freeze your studies and recommence at the same point on any future course for no further charge.
- If hard copy course materials are delivered to you in advance of a course at your request, you are agreeing that the related cost is non-refundable under any circumstances (£70).
- Coronavirus will be handled just like any other illness and any related absence will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. We aim to maintain our coronavirus procedures in line with national guidelines.
